Jaguar built its fame as manufacturer of sports and saloon cars in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1970s and 1980s their main interest were luxury saloon cars. Yet, in the late 1980s they caused a sensation by launching the XJ 220, which was in the same league as the Ferrari and Lamborghini sports cars.
These were super exclusive in their era and even more so now.
