Jaguar built its fame as manufacturer of sports and saloon cars in the 1950s. On the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, their new E-type caused a sensation.

 

It still used the 3.8 litre XK engine, but later versions used the then new 4.2 litre and 12-cylinder 5.3 litre engines. These are now sought after cars.
