The famous, cruel London - Sydney Marathon was run in 1968. A real test of endurance!
The Dutch National Team entered the pride of Dutch car-production of that era, a DAF 55 with variomatic gear box, run by the famous racing driver Rob Slotemaker (now sadly deceased) and Rob Janssen.
The team finished in a creditable 17th position overall.
The lovely pin badge features a kangaroo at speed and a small car, with DAF initials below.
The pin has not been used and is still excellent, even more so considering it is well over 50 years old.
A great piece of motoring memorabilia.
