The famous attraction park of Madurodam in The Hague shows many aspects of The Netherlands in scale 1:25. It is recognized as the smallest town of the country. When it was opened on the first of July 1952, then Prinses Beatrix was appointed as first mayor of the town!
 
The pin badge on offer was produced for the 25th anniversary of Madurodam, in 1977.
 
The copies available, then, are nearly 50 years old, but still in nice condition.
