Mitsubishi is long-established name, most of all known for its reliable every day cars and of course it had proved itself in rallies. 
 
Real sports cars were not really its market segment. In the 1990s they launched a high performance car with 3-litre engine, which was developed in conjunction with Chrysler. In the USA the car was marketed as Dodge Stealth.
