ESSENTIAL for any dedicated Morganeer! Probably the nicest Morgan badge ever made.
The first car badge ever issued by the Morgan Motor Company was designed by Jim Baker for the 75th anniversary of Morgan, back in 1984. At this memorable event, no less than 1524 Morgans turned up.
Peter Morgan preferred the cream background of this traditional shield shape badge. Two other prototypes, with a light blue and a maroon background, were discarded. FAKE blue copies do turn up occasionally, so don't be fooled into these!
This badge is a much desired item, even 40 years after the event. A badge not to be missed in a collection of serious devotees.
Good copies are now hard to find, as many appeared proudly in front of Morgan grilles! One copy was produced by James Baker, the other by Gladman & Norman. These are excellent. If you want a particular copy, please specify.
A further copy by James Baker, also excellent, is available for sending within the UK.
The second picture is of the used copy, also by James Baker, which has a minuscule piece of enamel missing, next to the 4 at the bottom, but is otherwise perfect. It has a lower price, therefore.
