The Morgan Three Wheeler Club is the oldest Morgan club in existence. Initiated in 1945, it still is alive and kicking. The introduction of the revived three-wheeler models gave the club a fresh influx of interest.
For many years, the Morgan Three Wheeler Club consisted of impecunious enthusiasts, who maintained and restored their own cars to keep them on the road. Decorations had to be functional, therefore. The club's best known badges -simple triangles in aluminium without holes or tab- were used for decades. Good copies are now rare
The copy on offer still has well pronounced shapes of letters and 3-wheeler shape on the badge. Over time, the die used to produce these badges got worse, which made the lettering and drawing less pronounced.
Most badges came with green paint, like the one on offer. Other copies had either red or blue paint, or even stayed bare.
In the early 1980s, these badges were succeeded by a version with tab, so these badges are now over well 40 years old at least!
This is the last copy available. It has been part of a major badge collection for years, so is still excellent.
