Austria is a relatively small country when it comes to automotive history.

Austro-Daimler is the best known car firm. OAF started life as an off spring of Fiat: Oesterreichise Austro-Fiat. This link was cut short in 1925 and since then the firm was known as Oesterreichise Automobil Fabrik (literally: Austrian Car Factory).

They produced both passenger cars and trucks in their history. Absorbed by the MAN truck firm, those trucks were also "badge-engineered" as OAF.

This pin probably dates from pre World War II and was locally made, by firm F. Petzl. It still is in excellent condition, both the brass and the enamel. Very hard to find.

One copy only.
